This year we again offered our amazing book towers. 25 books for kids to open every day before Christmas. It’s like an advent calendar but BOOKS!
Another incredible Be A Book Hero™ Halloween at our offices in Sylmar, CA. This year we gave away over 1,100 books to kids from all over the area. It is always one of our favorite events BOOKS + CANDY = FUN.
When the October fires hit in the Los Angeles area, the team activated the Be A Book Hero™ trailer and went to the shelters and gave away books to the kids.
Readers Assemble! This book box was sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Hollywood / Los Feliz and we got to partner again with Kiwanis Literacy Club to get this done. It is an Avengers theme with a mash up of old & new versions of these super heroes. Our master builder with his new color blind glasses continue to amaze us with his designs and painting.
We were invited by Kiwanis Club of Glendale to partner with them to give away books for kids at the Glendale Arts Festival. It was the first big distribution for our Mobile Book Depot and the kids loved it and of course all the books. Over 1,000 books given away today. Another partnership with Kiwanis Club of Glendale and of course Kiwanis Literacy Club of SoCal. This one is Camping & Scouts and was placed at Verdugo Hills Council Boy Scouts Offices. Another fun and awesome book box by our master builder and team.
We got to partner with Kiwanis Club of Glendale and Kiwanis Literacy Club again to create another book box in Glendale. This was a sports for everyone theme and is outside of the Glendale YMCA.
