Beach Themed Library – From Pismo Beach to Nebraska (May 19, 2017)

This a special library for our master builder, it was created for some dear friends (and major supporters of The Literacy Club) who relocated from Pismo Beach to Nebraska.  They asked for something that would remind them of the beach, their family and us.   Douglas and Chris had a blast creating this and then Douglas was able to deliver it in person and install it at their new home….

4 Dr. Seuss Inspired Libraries Installed @ Denver Public Schools (May 18-19, 2017)

Our team built libraries last December as a part of an employee event sponsored by Whitewave Foods.  On May 18 & 19th our master builder Douglas traveled to Denver and installed 4 of the libraries at several Denver Elementary Schools (Eagleton Elementary – One Fish, Two Fish; Cowell Elementary – Cat In The Hat; Florida Pitt Waller – Oh The Places You Will Go; Place Bridge Academy – What Pet Should I Get?)….

Santa Teresita Elementary School (5/9/17)

We had the opportunity to partner again with Keck Medicine of USC and USC Department of Public Safety to create a fun “hospital-themed” library near the Ramona Gardens housing complex.  This library is our first at a school and since the closest public library is 2 miles away, for many of the children in the community this will become their local public library (just a bit smaller).

San Bernardino County Probation Department (4/24/17)

Redlands Police Department Mobile Library (12/6/16)

We are so excited to get to create the first ever mobile library for a police department.  We partnered with Redlands Police to create a cargo plane inspired library.  It was built into a trailer that the Redlands PD will take to community events and kids/families can walk through and grab a book for free!  The team created a custom library cart (looks like an airplane) and custom folding tables…

5 Little Dr Seuss Inspired Libraries in Denver (12/16/16)

Thanks to the team @Peace Jam who has supported our efforts to inspire one book at a time, that partnership opened the door for us to be invited to Denver to be a part of the WhiteWave Corp. holiday luncheon.  The company wanted to combine holiday celebrations with giving back to the local community.  We were 1 of 3 events that the employees participated in.  We brought 5 little libraries…

Burbank YMCA – It’s A Book! (9/28/16)

ABC’s of RPG’s Libraries (Aug/Sept 2016)

We had the fortune to partner with Hunter’s Books & their author Ivan Van Norman to create two (2) roll-playing adventure/tavern themed libraries.  One library travels with the author to game and book conventions and the other was sent to a Kickstarter backer in San Jose, Ca.    They were so fun to build and our Master Builder Douglas, once again created some pretty awesome libraries.
